Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This page explains what personal data we collect when you use Annotexa PDF Studio's website and checkout, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your data protection rights under the GDPR and similar laws.
What information we collect
When you make a purchase, we collect your email address, phone number, and country. We also record your order details (product, license count, price, currency) and, if you choose to provide one, a referral or coupon code. If you contact support or leave feedback, we collect the name, email, and message you provide. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, or other full payment card details — these are entered directly into our payment processor's secure form and never pass through our servers.
Why we collect this data
We collect your email and phone number to process your license purchase, generate and deliver your license key, send your purchase receipt, and provide customer support if you need help with activation or a refund. Your country is used to show you accurate local pricing and applicable taxes. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How payments are handled
All payments are processed by Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal — depending on which option you choose at checkout. These are PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. When you enter your card or bank details, you are submitting them directly to the payment processor's secure servers, not to ours. We only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded, along with a transaction reference.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your personal data ('right to be forgotten'); and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month. Note that for completed purchases, certain order information (such as transaction records) may need to be retained for legal and tax accounting purposes even after a deletion request — in that case we anonymize the personal identifiers (name, email, phone) while keeping the anonymized transaction record.
Marketing communications
If you tick the optional marketing consent checkbox at checkout, we may occasionally email you about new features, updates, or special offers related to Annotexa PDF Studio. This is entirely optional and unticked by default. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Declining marketing emails does not affect your ability to purchase or use the product, and you will still receive essential transactional emails (such as your license key and receipts).
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of essential cookies required for the site to function correctly, such as remembering your selected language. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Our payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal) may set their own cookies during the checkout process as required for fraud prevention and to complete your transaction — these are governed by each processor's own privacy policy.
Contact us about your data
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, or would like to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please get in touch using the contact form on our homepage, or reply to any email you've received from us. We aim to respond to all data requests within one month.
